In this hauntingly gentle piece, images of animal forms and ephemeral shapes swirl across the surface, blurred yet outlined, fragile yet insistent. The word “LOVE” emerges near the center — not imposed, but discovered, as though whispered by the paper itself. Whether these are sheep, spirits, or simply forms not yet named, Melanie invites us to explore what might be rather than what is.

Like all works in her “Stories Waiting to be Told” series, this piece began as an act of spontaneous mark-making — scribbled thoughts, layered colours, and blurred words. From this unplanned beginning, a world emerged. Melanie follows the paint, and the paint leads her into mystery.
